​Childhood
  • ​I was born and raised in Henderson, Nevada.  It is really close to Las Vegas!​
Education​
  • ​I attended college at the University of Phoenix, where I got my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  
  • I am still in college, where I am working towards my Master's in Educational Administration.
  • This is my seventh year teaching!  This is my fourth year at Sunset Heights! Go Cubs!!​​​
Family
  • I have a husband and two children
  • Mr. Black is also a teacher! He teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science.
  • My son is a sixth grader this year, and my daughter is in fourth grade.
Hobbies
  • Reading and listening to audio books
  • Solving puzzles (crosswords, brainteasers, and more)
  • Playing games (board games and video games)
  • Swimming
